Undo an import, and what happens with the same link twice

Undo removes a recipe you just imported, and a link you already saved opens the copy you have.

Undo

When Thyme Kept saves a recipe you imported, a message says Saved to your library, with an Undo button.

  • It stays for ten seconds, and longer while you are pointing at it or have it selected with the keyboard.
  • Undo removes the recipe you just imported and takes you back to Add recipe.
  • If you have already edited the recipe, Undo does not delete it. You will see “This recipe changed before it could be deleted.” You can delete it yourself with Delete recipe permanently in the recipe’s menu.
  • If Undo does not work, the message offers Try again.

Undo is for one recipe at a time. When you bring in a whole library from another app, there is no Undo: see Bring your recipes from another app.

If you paste a link you have already saved, Thyme Kept does not save a second copy. It opens the recipe you already have and says Already in your library.

Thyme Kept matches the link itself, never the title, so two different links to similar recipes are saved as two recipes. The same goes for pasted text that has an Original link.
