A menu, a link and the replies, in one place.

Plan a menu, send one link to your guests, collect RSVPs and let people sign up to bring a dish.

For the host

6 things
  1. The details

Name, date, start and end time, place and address. Add a dress code, a note for guests, what to bring and a cover photo if you like.

  2. A menu from your library

Add recipes from your library, or a dish that is not a recipe. Courses run from appetizer to drink, and you can reorder them.

  3. Public or invite-only

A public event opens for anyone with the link once you publish. An invite-only event opens only for the people you add, each with their own private link.

  4. Publish when it is ready

Thyme Kept checks that there is a date, a place and a menu. Nothing is shared until you publish, and you can unpublish at any time.

  5. Replies on your terms

Set an RSVP deadline and a guest limit, allow a plus-one, allow late replies, hide the guest list, and ask about dietary needs and allergies.

  6. A shopping list for the menu

Add the menu to your shopping list. You review the ingredients before anything is added.

For your guests

4 things
  1. No account needed to reply

A guest opens the link, says “I’m attending”, “Maybe” or “Can’t make it”, and adds a name and an email. They can change or remove their reply later.

  2. The menu and the guest list

Guests see the menu by course and who is coming. You can ask guests to reply before they see the menu.

  3. Sign up to bring a dish

A guest with a free Thyme Kept account can claim a dish on the menu. Everyone sees which dishes still need a cook.

  4. Notes for the host

A guest with an account can leave a note for the host on the event page.

Afterwards

2 things
  1. Take the menu with you

Add the event to your calendar, print the menu, email it, copy it, or download the recipes as a bundle. You can let guests download the recipes too, from now, on the day or after the event.

  2. Remember how it went

Record who came, what worked and what to change, and what was left over. Duplicate the event to host it again.
