Share with your household

Create a household and invite people with a link to share planning, pantry and shopping.

A household shares planning, pantry and shopping between the people who cook together. Your recipes stay private until you choose to share each one.

Create a household

Open Settings, then Account, then the Household row. Choose Create household, give it a name and create it.

Invite someone

In the household, choose Invite someone. Enter their email, choose a role (Admin, Member or Viewer) and choose Create invitation link. Thyme Kept does not send an email: copy the link with Copy link and send it to them yourself.

The link works for seven days. If you create a new invitation for the same email, the older link stops working. You can also choose New link or Revoke on a pending invitation.

Join a household

Open the link and sign in with the email the invitation was made for. Thyme Kept says “Review and accept this invitation to join. Nothing is shared until you accept.” Choose Accept invitation.

What is shared

Planning, pantry and shopping are shared. Recipes are not shared automatically. To share one, open its share menu and choose the household row. Viewers cannot share recipes.

Leave a household

Choose Leave, then Leave household. You lose access to shared household data, and your own recipes stay with your account. The recipes you had shared with the household are no longer shared. A household’s owner cannot leave: the owner can transfer ownership, or dissolve the household.
