Paste a recipe as text

Paste a recipe you have copied, with its title, ingredients and steps, and Thyme Kept saves it.

If you have a recipe as text, in a message, a note or a caption, paste it into Thyme Kept.

  1. Open Add recipe. Choose Add recipe in the sidebar, then the Paste text tab.
  2. Paste the recipe. Paste it into Recipe text or caption. Include the title, the ingredients and the cooking steps.
  3. Add the link if you have one. The Original link field is optional. If you fill it in, Thyme Kept keeps it as the recipe’s source.
  4. Choose Import recipe. The recipe is saved to your library straight away.

What Thyme Kept needs

A title, and ingredients, cooking steps, or both. If it cannot find them you will see a message such as “We could not find ingredients in that text.” Paste the full recipe, with its ingredients and steps, and try again.

Pasting a recipe that has an Original link you already saved opens the copy in your library instead of saving it twice. See Undo and duplicates.
