A post has no written recipe

When a post only shows its recipe in the video, Thyme Kept saves nothing. Here is what to do instead.

You may see a message like “This Instagram reel has no written recipe Thyme Kept can read. Nothing was saved.” It names the kind of post, such as a reel, a video or a pin.

It means Thyme Kept read the post, followed any recipe link in its caption, and found no recipe written out. The recipe is only in the video, or the creator keeps it somewhere else. Nothing was saved, so there is nothing to undo.

What to do

  • Paste the recipe text. If the creator wrote the recipe in a comment or the caption, copy it and use the Paste text tab. Thyme Kept carries the post’s link over as the Original link. See Paste a recipe as text.
  • Import the creator’s written recipe. Many creators put the full recipe on their own website. Find that link and paste it into the Link tab. See Add a recipe from a link.

Sometimes the message adds a hint, such as that the caption mentions a creator’s site or says the recipe is in the comments.
