Delete your account

Deleting your account removes it and your personal data for good, and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account permanently removes it and your personal Thyme Kept data. It cannot be undone, and it happens right away, so take a copy first: see Export your recipes and Download your data.

  1. Open Privacy and data. Open Settings, then the Privacy and data tab, and choose Manage account.
  2. Read the warning. It says “Delete your Thyme Kept account?”
  3. Confirm it is you. Enter your password in Confirm your password, and type DELETE in Type DELETE to continue.
  4. Choose Delete account. The button stays off until both are filled in.

You are signed out when it finishes.

What is deleted

Your recipes, your events, your cookbooks with their shares, your imports, your shopping data, your profile and the photos you uploaded.

If you share a household

If you own a household with other members, ownership passes to the next member and the household carries on. A household with no other members is dissolved. Plans, shopping lists, pantry and cookbooks that belong to a household move to its owner instead of being deleted. See Share with your household.

If it stops part way

If something goes wrong, Thyme Kept says that deletion paused before completion, and your sign-in still works so you can try again.
